Sandeep Lamichhane will return to Nepal and surrender on 20th

 Sandeep Lamichhane case: After he did not return to Nepal, preparations to bring him through Interpol, the process has progressed


The Nepal Police has started the process to bring the suspended captain of the Nepali national team, Sandeep Lamichhane, to Nepal, who was accused of raping a 17-year-old girl.


Lamichhane, who had said through social media that he would return to Nepal soon, has not yet returned, so the Nepal Police started the process to bring Lamichhane to Nepal as soon as possible.

A high-ranking police source said that coordination with Interpol, the international police organization, has been initiated for the process of bringing Lamichhane to Nepal.


A police source while talking to Nepal Live said, 'After he did not return to Nepal, we have started the process through Interpol. We hope that he will return to Nepal himself rather than bringing him through Interpol.

Lamichhane was charged with rape when he arrived in Saint Lucia to play in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Lamichhane was suspended by the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) after a complaint was registered against him and an arrest warrant was issued by the district court in Kathmandu.


Then Jamaica Talwaz, who was associated with Sandeep, also fired him. Lamichhane, who informed through social media that he will return to Nepal soon, is still out of touch.


After hiding without contact, the police started the process of bringing him through Interpol. About this, Assistant Spokesperson of Nepal Police and SSP Dan Bahadur Karki said, 'Only the investigation officer knows about this matter. Sandeep has also been blacklisted by the immigration department.


A 17-year-old girl had filed a complaint on August 21 at Gaushal police circle, saying that Sandeep took her to room number 305 of a hotel in Kathmandu and raped her repeatedly.

The victim gave a statement to the police saying that Sandeep had taken the girl to Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Nagarkot and then brought her back to Kathmandu and kept her in a hotel and raped her.


According to the victim girl's statement, Sandeep raped her in room number 305 of a hotel located in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-9 on August 5th at 12:55 PM.


The girl says that Sandeep raped her at 12:25 that same night. After reporting that she was raped, the police also conducted a health examination of the victim girl.


The girl, who is called the victim, and Sandeep got close through the social networking site 'Snap Chat'. It is said that after some time after getting to know each other through snap chat, Sandeep proposed to meet the girl and took the car to pick her up. It is said that Sandeep took the girl from Kathmandu to Bhaktapur around 6 o'clock on 5th August by keeping her in his car.

After that, they reached Nagarkot, the victim said. The girl says that Sandeep drank alcohol in Nagarkot and returned to Kathmandu from there.


When they came to Kathmandu, it was 11 pm and they had booked a room in a hotel saying that the hostel would be closed. The victim girl says that Sandeep raped her in room number 305 of the same hotel.


After the complaint was filed, the police investigating Sandeep and the girl called the victim were seen entering the hotel and leaving the next morning. On the other hand, Sandeep has been claiming that he is innocent.

Sandeep Lamichhane will return to Nepal and surrender on 20th


Cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane, accused of rape, has said that he will surrender.


Lamichhane, who was hiding abroad after a girl filed a complaint of rape, issued a statement on Saturday morning saying that he will return to Nepal and surrender.


Through the social network Facebook, Lamichhane has said that he will return to Nepal on October 6, i.e. October 20.


"With great hope and strength, I am coming to Nepal on October 6 and will surrender to the Nepalese government to fight the legal battle against false accusations," he wrote.


He said that he is innocent and expressed his belief that he will get justice soon. He has also claimed that the conspiracy against him will be exposed.


Lamichhane, who has been out of touch for some time, said that he was in isolation last time because he was under stress.


Since the complaint was filed, Lamichhane has been listed in the absconding list of the police. After Lamichhane, who went to Jamaica for the Caribbean League, did not return to Nepal, the international police organization Interpol issued a diffusion notice against him.
